Goofy FAQs

FAQs
How can I provide proof of time for start corral placementIf you have not yet submitted your proof of time, you will need to bring a printed copy of your proof of time to the Health & Fitness Expo. Go to the Runner Relations booth after picking up your race packet and provide the race name, date, and your finish time.  If you submitted proof of time at the point of registration or emailed it previously, then you do not need to do anything else.
How many water stops are there on course? Nine Dasani water/PowerAde stops will be available along the Half Marathon course. Twenty-two stops will be available along the Full Marathon course.
What flavor of PowerAde will be on the course?  Lemon-lime PowerAde will be served at the stops, however, the PowerAde flavor is subject to change.
What food will be on the course? Assorted flavors of Clif Shots will be provided at 8.7 miles on the Half Marathon course and at Miles 14, 16 and 19 on the Full Marathon course. Also available on the Full Marathon course are bananas at Mile 14, sponges at Mile 17.5 and candy at Mile 23.
Where can my friends and family view the course? We suggest that you use the Online Spectator Tool to plan custom viewing routes for friends and family based on the runner's pace or finish time. Spectators can also join the ChEAR Squad to receive e-newsletters with spectator tips and planning tools.

T Day Run

Even though tomorrow is turkey day we are still going to try and meet for a run early at Washington Park.  8:30am at the shelter.  Probably shoot for 6-9 miles depending on time.  So if you don’t go out on the biggest night of the year (to go out and party) we will see you in the am!  Also be safe the cops are out tonight in full force tonight!

RE: schedule for rest of weeks

Will you guys be running with the Frost Toes on Saturdays or do you run on your own? I’d love to join you guys.
You guys are definitely putting in the miles. I think I topped out at 56 during my marathon training.

Nick… With any marathon plan, they typically max out at 20 BUT it was recommended to me to take your longest run to 23 miles. I definitely think this helped but I also didn’t have to run a half and a full on the same week-end. For the purpose of what you guys are going to accomplish, 20-21 is perfect.

as much as I hate to say it, i am much closer to Jeremy's totals than Dave's.  I'm working on picking that up, but slowly.  Also, I'm sure this is my inexperience showing through, but I take it it's common to only train up to 20-21 miles for the 26 mil race?

I am sure both of these will have changes but it gives us something to base our next 10 weeks off of.  Just think in 10 weeks we can take a mini break!!

How does this compare to what you have for us?  I know my totals are behind what you’ve got scheduled, but I don’t see myself hitting those amounts.  I’m more interested in what your weekend totals look like.
